LUSH COSMETICS | Rose Queen Bath Ballistic:

As you can probably see from the pictures, me and this ballistic really did not get on.

Online, Rose Queen is described as "filled with petals including blue mallow, tiger lily, honeysuckle, apple blossom and amaranth flower, which swirl around you in rosy pink water."
I mean, really? Where was my rosy pink water?!
I absolutely hated this bomb- to say it started off very promising: a strong pink colour and it smells so beautiful, incredibly fresh and floral, I was really disappointed by the colour (my water went a strange grey-pink rather than the comforter pink I was expecting) and the random pieces of rose 'petals' encased in the bomb that resemble dead insects rather than the rose petals I was expecting. Seriously, there were sticks in my bath with me. That is not my idea of relaxing.
I spent about half an hour in the tub with this odd ballistic before admitting defeat and banishing it to the bottom of my Think Pink box forever more.
The reviews on are all completely raving I'm not sure if I simply had a bad experience or if i'm just a bubble bar girl through and through.

What do you think of Rose Queen?

Primark Ankle Boots:

Ankle Boots - Primark

I know, I know, it looks as though i've become one of *those* people who pine for autumn and wish away summer looking forward to hot chocolates and jumpers but in all honestly, i'm a summer girl through and through (seriously, drink chocolate all year round and pretty summer dresses are so much cuter than boring knits!) although I am a firm believer in buying key season pieces as soon as possible; it means you get the best pieces and can rest safe knowing you don't have to panic buy when the heatwave/ snow kicks in.

With that in mind, I picked up these beautiful navjo inspired ankle boots from, where eslse?, Primark for a bargain £7. They're suede, which isn't ideal for rainy winters but with their sturdy wooden heel and a thick pair of socks, I think i'll manage. I love how the pop of pattern is subtle but still a statement and will fit perfectly into my monochrome wardrobe. As a firm 'fashionable goth' (it's a thing! I promise) I love how these will jazz up a simple outfit without breaking the bank.

Have you picked up any AW staples yet?

#OOTD 5:

Peek-a-boo Top - Zara (similar)
Jeans - Primark (similar)
Snake print Kimono - H&M
Cut out boots - Bank

Rocking my favourite colours, I am loving this monochrome ensemble recently.
The cut out detail of the white top paired with the cut out boots keeps the otherwise simple outfit a little bit more unique and interesting and the latest addition to my ever growing kimono collection, this gorgeous H&M sheer beauty, is so easy to throw on and paired with monochrome or all black, it really spices up a basic outfit.

I also can't seem to stop wearing my black jeans at the minute; so easy to throw on, so flattering and for only £7 from Primark (where else?) I don't have to worry about ruining them!

LUSH COSMETICS: Twilight Bath Bomb:

The 'Twilight' Bath bomb is a fusion of Lavender and YlangYlang which makes it the most floral and relaxing bubbly, colourful riot. I absolutely loved the colours in this bath bomb, it changed from being pink and floral (I could really smell the Ylang Ylang, amazing) to creating a blue, bubbly bath that completely relaxed me.

I wasn't expecting the blue in the bath nor the extent of the bubbles but I was totally impressed and the smell was divine- so relaxing and sweet, it lingered on my skin without being overpowering.
A definite must buy!

Have you tried Twilight?

Every Day Makeup:

I seem to add a new 'Every Day makeup post every few months but I honestly switch up my every day products so much- i'm the first to try a new product and I hoard way too many products that I forget about and rediscover that make for an ever changing, fresh make up essentials post!

I start my make up by applying Benefit's Erase Paste to any blemishes and my under eyes. I also tend to sweep a little under my eyebrow for a little more definition and smoothness.

I then apply "The Porefessional" all over my face with my fingers to prep my skin and provide a base for my foundation. I love how silky and smooth this product makes my skin feel.

Then comes the foundation.. I tend to switch up my foundation regularly so at the moment i'm using Bourjois' "Healthy Mix Serum" which is a blogger favourite. Don't get me wrong though, I love how glowing and fresh my skin looks after using the serum, but i'm looking for a new foundation.

Finally I sweep Avon's "Ideal Flawless" Pressed Powder over my face, mostly my cheeks and my neck to avoid the dreaded 'Tidemark' look! I absolutely love the powder- it's so light and heavy at the same time and doesn't cling to my skin or go patchy.

The Brushes:
I use a "Benefit Cosmetics Foundation Brush" for my concealer- I find it doesn't aggravate my skin as much as concealer brushes and find it works the product in much quicker. For my foundation I, of course, use the "Real Techniques Expert Face Brush" to work the product into my face. For the money, the Real Techniques brush is definitely one of a kind. Once you buy a RT Expert Face Brush you won't look back.

For my eyebrows, I used to swear my Benefit's "Big Beautiful Eyes" kit, using the brown eyeshadow provided, however, after being gifted the Smokin' Eyes kit, I found the black eyeliner powder (pictured) is the perfect shade and texture for stronger, bolder look. I've always used Benefit's powder eyeliner / eyeshadow products for my eyebrows and I could rave about them all day. I actually prefer the shadows to Browzings simply for the stronger, bolder colour that is provided using less product.

For my mascara, again I like variety. Bar Benefit's 'Bad Gal', i've never repurchased any mascaras. I didn't get off to a good start with They're Real but now I can't get enough! Perfect for elongating lashes and adding volume.

Finally, Benefit's 'Sunbeam' and 'Highbeam'. I don't wear either of these highlighters everyday, but they're definitely the most reached for extras that I add to my everyday look. Both are perfect for highlight and adding definition to my face; to cheekbones, eyebrows etc.

#OOTD 4:

White Kimono - H&M (similar)
Aztec Jumpsuit - TU @ Sainsburies (similar)
Puma Suedes - USC

A summery OOTD for once!
I picked up this jumpsuit months ago in Sainsburies when it was only £11 in the sale and it ended up pushed into the back of my wardrobe until today when I wanted to wear something casual, fashionable and above all, comfortable.

I paired my new found gem with a simple kimono and my favourite ridiculous suedes to keep the outfit relaxed and casual; perfect for summer evenings. I'm also obsessed with the missguided one I linked up which is only £9.99! Such a bargain for such a simple and easy to wear outfit and don't be afraid if you're petite like me; rolling up the ankles and making sure the jumpsuit is slightly fitted means i'm not drowning in material!

Now that i've rediscovered this jumpsuit I can't wait to pair it with my never ending kimono collection (someone please send help, it's becoming a problem) and various shoes for never ending outfit choices!

Do you love jumpsuits? How do you style them?

Zara haul:

Leather look trousers,(similar)
Graphic print skirt (similar),
Leather look crop top
Knot front dress (similar)
LBD (similar)
Peek-a-boo top (similar)

The Zara sale has been very bad for my bank account.
After browsing in store one evening I picked up the amazing leather look trousers (you can find a similar pair featured here but why wear Primark when you can wear Zara?) and the white peek-a-boo top that I had been lusting after forever the sale.. I just love it when that happens.
After seeing a few bits in store that weren't in my size, I looked on the app.. just for a quick look... big mistake. I then ended up buying the crazy graphic print skirt, leather look top and the knot dress for less than £30! They're the perfect staple pieces for updating my very monochrome, summer and autumn wardrobe on a budget.

Have you picked up any Zara bargains recently? What are your favourite pieces from my haul?
